Vendors are Gearing Up to Show Their Wares!

We've had a great response to the Free Market Day at the Billy the Kid Barbeque Cook-Off.  There are still spaces available. If you would like to set up your shop under the beautiful pecan trees in Hico City park or in one of the white wood pavilions, please contact us!

Billy the Kid Barbeque to Benefit the Hico Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department

We are proud to announce that the Billy the Kid Barbeque Cook-off will now benefit the Hico Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department as well as the Hico Lions Club.

Please make plans to come out and enjoy some delicious barbeque sandwiches and home made desserts while you browse crafts by local artisans. Bring an old pair of glasses to donate to the Lions Club eye care and get a free face painting!

Billy The Kid Barbeque Cook-Off Announced for November 15, 2014

Mark your calendars for the

2014 Billy the Kid Barbeque Cook-Off 


to be held in Bosque River Park, located in the historic town of Hico.

Judging sanctioned by IBCA

Live Entertainment

Cash Prizes


Barbequed:

Brisket

Chicken

Pork Spare Ribs

and Jackpot Beans

 

If that's not enough to make you feel good - all proceeds from this event will benefit the Hico Lions Club for their projects locally, statewide and around the world. Now you feel GREAT!

If you would like to compete in the Cook-Off, the entry fee for 1, 2 or all 3 meats is $125, and Jackpot Beans are $10.


Set-up and Registration 4-7:30 p.m. Friday, November 14.
Cooks meeting at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Recently upgraded RV with full water, sewer and electrical hookups
available at $25 per night for the first 20 contestants

We merely ask that you donate 10% of your sales to support the Hico Volunteer Fire Deptartment & Hico Lions Club

We do need to know you are coming, so please rsvp by email or by printing and sending in the paper application so we can make sure you have a space.
